The 16th Resistance International Film Festival (RIFF) has announced the nominees of the main competition section.
The second part of the festival, which is covering "Main Competition", "Resistance Prominent Martyr - Special Section", "Best Film Competition in Absolute Sense" and "Narrations of Pen - Scriptwriting Competition", inaugurated on November 21 and is currently underway in online format until November 27, 2020.
The selected films of the second round of the festival will be displayed on namafilm.ir and ammaryar.ir platforms.

The annual Resistance festival is an attempt to commemorate the anniversary of the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war, which is known as the “Sacred Defense” in Iran. To this end, the event runs in two different stages. The first one took place during the Sacred Defense Week from September 21 to 28 in Tehran.
